Supervision and Mentoring
This page is for psychologists and trainees seeking reflective, ethical, and supportive supervision grounded in professional standards and real-world experience.
I offer mentoring and supervision for trainee and qualified psychologists, including those training in health psychology or working in applied, academic, or mixed professional roles, with a particular focus on health psychology supervision. I am a BPS-recognised Stage 2 Health Psychology Supervisor and am listed on the RAAPS directory.
Who this supervision is for
I provide mentoring and supervision for:
Stage 2 Health Psychology trainees completing BPS requirements
Trainee psychologists seeking structured health psychology supervision
Early-career and qualified psychologists looking for reflective supervision
Psychologists working across clinical, academic, consultancy, public health, or mixed roles
My approach is particularly suited to people working in complex or hybrid roles, or those who value reflective space rather than prescriptive instruction.
Health psychology supervision
(Stage 2 – BPS)
I am a BPS-approved Stage 2 Health Psychology Supervisor and support trainees working towards qualification as a Health Psychologist. I am listed on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAAPS).
Stage 2 supervision may include support with:
Competency development and evidence requirements
Applied health psychology practice
Research, intervention development, and evaluation
Ethical decision-making and professional identity
Managing complexity within applied or organisational settings
Supervision is shaped around BPS standards while remaining responsive to your specific placement, role, and training context.
My approach to mentoring and supervision
My approach to mentoring and supervision is reflective, collaborative, and psychologically informed. I aim to offer a space where you can think carefully about your work, your professional development, and the challenges you are navigating — whether these are clinical, academic, ethical, or systemic.
Rather than offering formulaic supervision, I work with you to explore what is most relevant and useful at each stage of your training or career. Sessions may focus on case discussion, applied work, professional identity, boundaries, wellbeing, and navigating uncertainty in complex systems.
Professional background
I am a Chartered and Registered Practitioner Psychologist with over 10 years of experience across health psychology, mental health, behaviour change, research, and consultancy. My professional background includes work across clinical practice, academia, public health, digital health, and applied research and evaluation.
Alongside my clinical and consultancy work, I have supported trainee and early-career psychologists through mentoring and supervision, including formal health psychology Stage 2 supervision and broader professional development.
